Art and Nature Workshops
Environmental Cities: Creativity + Action for the Planet Workshops
Art and climate change come together in this educational program that offers various workshops for children, families and teachers, whose first version took place during January 2019, at the La Moneda Cultural Center (CCLM) and at the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM).
An initiative organized by Fundación Mar Adentro in collaboration with Fundación An Nou Palé, Aula de Mar, Cooperativa Semilla Austral and FabLab Santiago, and with the support of CCLM and GAM. A training and recreational space to learn about climate change and its related topics, such as: migration, the importance of coastal zones, deforestation and native flora, among others.
The program seeks to:
Raise awareness on personal responsibility in climate change to form change makers.
Understand ourselves as part of an ecosystem.
Foster a proactive and creative view on socio-environmental issues.
Place ourselves in the context of climate change and deepen knowledge about adaptation and mitigation.
Contribute to an education that seeks to restore natural and social ecosystems
