Bosque Pehuén Residency Program: Multidisciplinary Nature Research Station
About the residency program
The Bosque Pehuén Residency Program is a multidisciplinary research program dedicated to the promotion of innovative explorations and development of creative works on the conservation, dissemination and education of the importance of temperate rainforests in the South of Chile and their diverse sound, visual, natural, historical, cultural and conceptual dimensions.
Seeking to encourage a comprehensive view on conservation, we promote collaborative research that integrates sensitivities and knowledge intrinsically involved with the territory and capable of observing it as a whole: from the hydrographic and glacial basins, to the coastal edge, in order to contribute to the construction of a critical and conscious view of our society and its relationship with nature. This multidisciplinary research program is aimed at professionals in the arts, sciences and humanities (visual arts, performing arts, music, design, audiovisual, literature, mathematics, ecology, biology, sociology, architecture, design, among others) and takes place in our privately protected area of conservation (PPA): Bosque Pehuén in the Araucanía Andina of Chile.
During 2021 two cycles will be carried out on the following dates and under the following themes:
