Theo Jansen Documentary to be shown in Puerto de Ideas 2018

The irrational optimist, directed by Víctor Leyton and produced together with the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, will be premiered on Saturday, November 10th. It combines two visual narratives of his time in Chile for the opening of Wind Algorithms, as well as an exploration on his life and work.

A book that guides you through glaciers in the Andes mountain range to the Pacific coastal edge, where endemic species and very old environments are found that must be understood and valued.

The Discovery of Monito del Monte Arboreal Habits

Scientists from the Universidad Austral discovered in Bosque Pehuén that the monito del monte, the smallest marsupial in the Americas, also commonly lives in the treetops, where it plays a key role in seed dispensing and pest control. This habit has never been described before. Their paper has been published in Ecosphere scientific journal.
