Between Thursday, August 24th until Saturday, September 26th, this celebration of illustration is held, which includes exhibitions, talks, book launches and workshops. Fundación Mar Adentro will contribute with a workshop for children on Green Legacy Hiroshima, on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
Illustrators Decur (Argentina), Bef (Mexico) and Paloma Valdivia (Chile) are the stellar guests of this meeting that for the fifth consecutive year brings together great figures of illustration and comic books in the Cultural Center Casona Nemesio Antunez in La Reina, Santiago, Chile. The program includes talks, roundtable discussions, book signings and workshops dictated by the creators, aimed for a wide audience, from professionals and teachers to children and general public. There will also be an exhibition, book sales by Chilean publishers, and sale of illustrated products.
The fair begins on Thursday 24 at 5:00 pm, and at 9:00 pm, illustrator Catalina Bu presents her illustrated stand up skit alongside comedian Paloma Salas (for ages 18 and over, tickets costs $5,000 CLP and include a glass of wine: $ 5,000 tickets).
On Saturday 24, at 12:00 pm, a workshop will be held about the downloadable activities from the Legado Verde Hiroshima website, an educational initiative promoted by Fundación Mar Adentro to contribute to education forpeace and the relationship between art and nature, which also was created with illustrator Catalina Bu. It is aimed for children ages 6 to 12, and will take place in the Cultural Center’s library.
