The Colorearte national dyeing competition, in order to foster creativity and work in children across the country, traveled to Combarbalá, in the Coquimbo Region, to conduct workshops for teachers in the area. For the first time in its eleven-year history, 50 teams in this area are participating in this years contest.
Angelica Gellona, head of the program, and Patricia Reutter, coordinator and founder of the competition, were in charge of the activity in which they made sure of the form and method of work employed by the teachers in their first experience in addition to conveying the spirit of the initiative.
Edi Zambrano gave two dyeing workshops with the shibori technique, which students must use in the competition, with the presence of 40 teachers who with enthusiasm and willingness to learn gathered at Escuela América.
