On Saturday, November 4th, at 6:15 p.m., we presented the educational platform www.legadoverde.cl at the International Book Fair of Santiago (FILSA).
This Saturday we will be presenting in FILSA the educational platform legadoverde.cl, to the literature and avid readers community. Together with Javiera Contador, we will talk about the origin and relevance of this initiative, which is based on the efforts carried out by NGO Green Legacy Hiroshima dedicated to collecting the seeds of the surviving trees of the 1945 nuclear bomb, which they then send to different countries in the world as messengers of peace.
In Chile, they are currently growing in the Botanical Garden of the Austral University of Valdivia; since August, this powerful message is being expressed via workshops available for children and young adults on this website. We hope to bring these activities to families, in addition to telling a silent story of memory and reconstruction.
